Waste Reduction Week in Canada is actually a year long program that focuses on principles of circular economy, resource efficiency, and waste reduction, and how to implement these things here at home in Canada. Each day of Waste Reduction Week Canada has a theme, and today’s theme is Plastics.
Did you know that worldwide, 2.7 million tons of plastic are used to bottle water? And 86% of plastic water bottles in the USA become garbage, or litter?
Those are some staggering and scary numbers, and might make you wonder what you can do to help, and what alternatives you have.
One alternative is a whole home water treatment system. Treated water helps your water heater run more efficiently, reducing energy bills.
