Why choose Benjamin Moore paints?

Superior Quality and Performance: The better the resins and colourants, the better quality and performance. Easy to apply products with coverage that saves time and money. Low odour products without that lingering paint smell. Paint that is durable, washable and scrub-able to keep walls in mint condition. Colour that unfailingly delivers “oohs” and “aahs”.

The Gennex Colourant Advantage: In order to maintain environmental responsibility, the Gennex colourants contain zero VOCs, including the darkest colours. Even Benjamin Moore’s zero-VOC paints maintain zero-VOC, while other zero-VOC paints may actually contain VOCs when tinted with UTC.

The Sanding Two-Step

Sanding not only feathers out chipped paint and imperfections between coats, but also provides “tooth” for the next coat of paint. For glossy trim, use a sanding sponge rather than sandpaper. Sponges mold to the shape of the trim and last longer than paper.

Buying the Best Paintbrush for the Project

A good paintbrush is key to a professional-looking finish and it can range from $10 to $20. When choosing a brush, pay attention to the bristles. Synthetic brushes are made of nylon or polyester, or a combination of the two. Poly bristles are stiffer, which makes them good for exterior or textured work, but for fine interior work, use softer nylon brushes.
